Creating Historic and Hula Inspired Sewing Art

 

 Holle from NoHo Nani Mai started making pillows inspired by what she learns from her Kumu about hula and Hawaiian history.  After growing up on the Big Island, Holle now lives in San Francisco, and hand makes each pillow using fabric  from Hawaii which she saved from her years living on the Big Island and pieces of art she crafts herself.
